Stephen Yang for the NY Post<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/01\/29\/secrets-of-when-harry-met-sally-knocked-up-more-rom-coms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The beloved rom-com<\/a> features a scene at Katz\u2019s Deli where Sally (Meg Ryan) is telling Harry (Billy Crystal) that his past lovers have likely faked orgasms with him. And I acted it for her.\u2026 And I\u2019m pounding the table, \u2018Yes! Yes! Yes!\u2019 And I\u2019m realizing I\u2019m having an orgasm in front of my mother, you know? There\u2019s my mother over there,\u201d he said during <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=tkLhZILxJY8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">an interview on \u201c60 Minutes\u201d <\/a>in October.<\/p>\n<p>After news of Reiner\u2019s death broke, Katz\u2019s Deli owner Jake Dell remembered the famous filmmaker while speaking to The Post.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt hit all of us,\u201d Dell, 39, said.  \u201cThis morning, I was seeing some of the guys who work here crowding together. Stephen Yang for the NY Post<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/12\/15\/us-news\/hard-to-smile-at-katzs-deli-the-nyc-spot-where-rob-reiner-filmed-his-most-famous-scene\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Customers at Katz\u2019s Deli <\/a>have also been mourning the loss of the Hollywood icon, who was allegedly slain by <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/12\/15\/us-news\/rob-reiners-son-nick-in-custody-after-horrifying-murder-of-princess-bride-director-and-wife\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">his troubled son Nick.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Pamela Blake Riley, who was visiting New York from Memphis with her husband, Don, and two children, told The Post that Katz\u2019s felt \u201csomber\u201d due to the \u201cdisheartening situation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were shocked to hear about him and his wife. He did bring joy to hundreds of millions. I\u2019ve been wanting to come here ever since I saw \u2018When Harry Met Sally.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Reiner, 78, and his 68-year-old wife, Michele,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/12\/15\/us-news\/rob-reiner-wife-michelle-had-throats-slit-by-family-member-during-heated-argument-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">were found with their throats slit\u00a0<\/a>inside their Los Angeles home on Sunday. Their bodies were discovered by their<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/12\/15\/entertainment\/rob-reiners-daughter-romy-shared-photos-of-dad-before-death\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a028-year-old daughter, Romy.<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>The pair shared son Jake, 34, too. The director was also dad to actress Tracy Reiner, whom he adopted when married to the late Penny Marshall.<\/p>\n<p>The couple\u2019s 32-year-old son Nick, who has a history of addiction, has been <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/12\/15\/us-news\/rob-reiners-son-nick-in-custody-after-horrifying-murder-of-princess-bride-director-and-wife\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">arrested and charged with the murders.<\/a> He\u2019s being held without bail.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"One of New York City\u2019s most famous establishments is remembering Rob Reiner following the director\u2019s tragic death.
