JACKSONVILLE, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 M.A.D. D.A.D.S. identified the 16-year-old who was fatally shot in the Sandalwood area on Friday night<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office said Amir Bostic was lying in the middle of Mareeba Road East with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers also found a man in a car at the same intersection with multiple gunshot wounds and another teen with a single gunshot wound.<\/p>\n

Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department took all three to local hospitals, where Bostic later died.<\/p>\n

The sheriff\u2019s office said a gunfight took place during a drug deal.<\/p>\n

His sister, Zakiya Bostic, started a GoFundMe to raise money for his mother, the funeral and burial expenses<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cAmir was an amazing kid \u2014 kind, respectful, loving, and full of so much potential. He had a gentle heart and a bright spirit that touched everyone who knew him. He wasn\u2019t just my brother; he was our family\u2019s joy,” Zakiya Bostic said in the GoFundMe.<\/p>\n

She also said that since his passing, it\u2019s been difficult for her to be home alone and navigate life without him.<\/p>\n
