Jimmy Kimmel is baffled by how unprepared the Trump administration has been for the Vanity Fair interview<\/a> with White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.<\/p>\n

In the interview, released on Monday morning, Wiles described<\/a> Trump as having an \u201calcoholic\u2019s personality,\u201d JD Vance as being a \u201cconspiracy theorist,\u201d and Elon Musk as an \u201cavowed ketamine user.\u201d<\/p>\n

The strangest part for Kimmel is how Wiles and the rest of the Trump administration were seemingly blindsided by the article, despite the sheer amount of time Wiles spent saying these things on the record to a Vanity Fair reporter. <\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone there is shocked and confused,\u201d Kimmel said, \u201cWhich is kind of shocking and confusing, because not only did these people sit for multiple interviews, they took part in an elaborate photoshoot.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe White House, of course, calls it a hit piece,\u201d Kimmel said about the article.<\/p>\n

He explained, \u201cWiles denied she called Elon Musk a ketamine user. So then the reporter immediately shared a tape<\/a> with the New York Times of Wiles calling Musk a ketamine user.”<\/p>\n

\u201cSo then she attempted to smooth things over on Twitter with a post that was clearly aimed at an audience of one,\u201d Kimmel said. <\/p>\n

He quoted Wiles\u2019 X post on Monday in which she praised Trump vehemently and claimed that the article lacked \u201csignificant context.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s right,\u201d said Kimmel. He joked, \u201cLike when she said the president has the personality of an alcoholic, she meant a fun alcoholic. Like Barney from The Simpsons.”<\/p>\n

The article published early this morning is a disingenuously framed hit piece on me and the finest President, White House staff, and Cabinet in history. <\/p>\n

Significant context was disregarded and much of what I, and others, said about the team and the President was left out of the\u2026<\/p>\n

Kimmel also mocked JD Vance\u2019s awkward placement in the Vanity Fair photoshoot.<\/p>\n

\u201cSee, poor JD Vance got stuck in the crease,\u201d Kimmel said, \u201cJust like he does when he gets sexy with his couch at home.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel also showed a clip of Vance responding to the interview by saying, \u201cI hope that the lesson is we should be giving fewer interviews to mainstream media outlets.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s right,\u201d Kimmel quipped, \u201cFrom now on, we will only speak to our loyal Newsmax mannequins and no one else.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel added incredulously about Vance, \u201cThat gomer is one midnight bacon double cheeseburger away from being president of the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n
