Alice, Jim, and Rob Walton, the eldest members of the family, are the surviving children of Sam Walton. The Waltons are the richest family on the planet in 2025.

To put things in perspective, the $513.4 billion Walton fortune is roughly equivalent to the combined annual revenue of Dallas-Fort Worth Fortune 500 companies McKesson, AT&T, American Airlines, and DR Horton.

Other Walton family billionaires who own significant stakes in Walmart include:

Ann Walton Kroenke, who shares a more than 520,000-acre ranch about 170 miles northwest of Fort Worth with billionaire husband Stan Kroenke. She is a daughter of Sam Walton’s late brother, Bud Walton.

Billionaire Nancy Walton Laurie, the sister of Ann Walton Kroenke. She primarily lives in the Las Vegas suburb of Henderson.

Christy Walton, widow of Alice, Jim and Rob’s brother John. She lives in Jackson, Wyoming.

Lukas Walton, son of John Walton, who splits his time between Jackson and Chicago.

Forbes estimated Alice Walton’s net worth at $123.7 billion as of December 17, landing her in the No. 1 spot among the world’s richest women.

While she devotes most of her time and energy now to her Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and the new Alice L. She has owned homes and ranches in the Fort Worth area.

Two quotes from Alice Walton, a prominent philanthropist, reflect her attitude toward money:

Alice Walton (second from left) Olivia Walton, Annie Leibovitz, and Awol Erizku at a 2023 event at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. The Al Saudi royal family derives most of its wealth from oil giant Saudi Aramco, whose Americas headquarters is in Houston.

The rise in the Walton family’s fortune is tied to the roughly 20 percent spike in Walmart’s stock price from mid-December 2024 to mid-December 2025.

Walmart, the world’s largest retailer, rang up revenue of $500 billion during the first nine months of its current budget year, which ends January 31. That puts the retailer on track to likely beat its most recent annual revenue of $681 million. Walmart’s revenue for the current budget year is expected to total roughly $687 billion — a financial result that could lift the retailer’s stock price even more and, thus, lift the family’s wealth.

The Walton family isn’t the only family among the world’s 25 wealthiest families with ties to Texas.

The children of Dan Duncan, co-founder of Houston-based oil and gas pipeline company Enterprise Products Partners, sit at No. 24 on the new Bloomberg list, with a combined net worth of $48 billion. That makes them the richest family in Texas.

The four children — Houston billionaires Dannine Avara, Scott Duncan, Milane Frantz, and Randa Duncan Williams — inherited their father’s stake in the company following his death in 2010. Williams, owner of Texas Monthly magazine, is the only one of the children who’s involved in the business; she chairs the board of Enterprise Products Partners.

It’s hard to imagine, but the retail chain co-founded by the legendary Sam Walton has brought Fort Worth…

[5138
5229,4219,7371,7372,7709,202901,358,3187,67,586,132,5230,68,2969
0":"post-454221","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-fort-worth","8":"tag-america","9":"tag-crime","10":"tag-fort-worth","11":"tag-fortworth","12":"tag-holidays","13":"tag-porch-pirates","14":"tag-texas","15":"tag-tx","16":"tag-united-states","17":"tag-united-states-of-america","18":"tag-unitedstates","19":"tag-unitedstatesofamerica","20":"tag-us","21":"tag-usa
["GET
