Discovery\u2019s cable networks come under the microscope with the various corporate machinations surrounding its parent company\u2019s sale, two senior content execs have been promoted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/joseph-boyle\/\" id=\"auto-tag_joseph-boyle\" data-tag=\"joseph-boyle\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Joseph Boyle<\/a>\u00a0has been named Head of Content, <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/discovery-channel\/\" id=\"auto-tag_discovery-channel\" data-tag=\"discovery-channel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Discovery Channel<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/alon-orstein\/\" id=\"auto-tag_alon-orstein\" data-tag=\"alon-orstein\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alon Orstein<\/a> has been upped to Head of Content, <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/tlc\/\" id=\"auto-tag_tlc\" data-tag=\"tlc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TLC<\/a>. Boyle\u00a0and Orstein were both previously SVPs, Production and Development for their respective networks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIt comes a year after <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2024\/12\/brett-paul-howard-lee-warner-bros-discoverys-us-networks-promotions-1236214871\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Howard Lee, to whom the pair report, was promoted to Chief Creative Officer of U.S. Networks<\/a>. Lee was previously Head of Content for TLC and Discovery.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe pair will both oversee content development\u00a0and production for their networks, allowing Lee to focus on the cable group\u2019s overall programming strategy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tBoyle has been at Discovery since 2013 and is responsible for series including Deadliest Catch and Naked and Afraid. Before Discovery, he was a showrunner.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tOrstein joined TLC in 2011 and has worked on titles including the 90 Day Fianc\u00e9 franchise, Sister Wives,\u00a0Baylen Out Loud,\u00a0Say Yes to the Dress,\u00a0Cake Boss,\u00a0and I Am Jazz.
