She’s Not Happy With What He Tells Her

A woman has complaints about girls showing up at her husband’s job for no apparent reason. Her husband’s a firefighter, and lately, his fire station has been getting more and more visitors. That’s because there’s currently an online trend of taking local tours to see fire crews working in real-time.

To Genesis (@genyoungblood), the encounters weren’t innocent. She later looked through TikTok to see if she could find any videos from his department showing what the girls were up to. Despite the humor involved with some of these videos, she had a message and warning for those showing up at her husband’s job: It’s not fun to be a fire wife, and most of the men at the station already have wives.

The follow-up video that Genesis made to clarify some of her statements on the matter has generated 77,000 views since Dec. 7. In that video, Genesis asked whether or not she was the “jealous type” to notice something small like an influx of visitors to the station. But many commenters agreed that there was an issue with the current “fire station visit” trend.

Genesis’ Life Married to a Firefighter: Not as Hot as It Seems

In a video posted on Dec. 6, Genesis asked her audience, “ Why are we so in love with firefighters right now? Why is everyone [on] my FYP stopping by the fire station in a tube top?”

She posted her frustration to TikTok after noticing a few videos by content creators who would drop by and seemingly flirt with the civil servants while they were working. Then, it started happening at her husband’s station. He would let her know if some girls wanted a tour, something that Genesis quickly picked up on.

So, she let the girls who are visiting stations across America know that, despite the situation’s humor, it wasn’t OK. Many of the men and women working at fire stations are married or have significant others. It isn’t necessarily the best place to flirt or find a partner.

Genesis also clarified in her video that being a firefighter’s wife wasn’t all that it’s cracked up to be. “ If you’re a fire wife, can you please let the girls know that it’s not that hot?” Genesis told her audience. “It’s great, but after a while, the conspiracy theories, [the fact that] they talk about the crap they’re covered in when they come home, the mandatory shifts, [and] the days you’re alone with your children … [add up].”

In her follow-up video, Genesis further explained that the job is “unglamorous” and that most of the firefighters at her husband’s station are unavailable for dating.

Other women shared a similar sentiment when commenting. “My husband told me two girls went to his station,” a viewer said. “With being the officer on duty he opened all the bay doors and did not let the girls inside. He sent pictures to me.. it’s cute that these baby girls dress up to see grumpy men.”

Another woman agreed, adding, “Old school ER nurse here and you are not unhealthy [or] jealous. These girls have a motive, so good on you for being protective. I [will] back you wives up in the ER, too.”

Is Touring Fire Stations a Trend?

According to many of Genesis’s commenters, tours of fire stations have become a popular video idea for TikTokers. Several women have posted semi-viral fire station tour videos between November and December 2025, with many popular videos generating over 100,000 likes.

Some of these videos recommended that ladies “drive by” their local fire stations to see the firefighters working. Charlotte McKinney (@charlottemckinney1) posted one video in which she and a friend openly flirt with firefighters, albeit with some level of humor involved. But the comments section heavily pushed back against McKinney’s more brazen approach.

“On behalf of firefighter wives-[please] don’t,” said one commenter who saw McKinney’s video.

So, despite the growth of fire station tours, there seems to be some pushback against visiting to check out blue-collar workers on the job—at least from their wives and girlfriends.

We’ve reached out to Genesis via email for comment. We’ll let you know if she responds.

A woman has complaints about girls showing up at her husband’s job for no apparent reason.
