href=\"https:\/\/www.cpsc.gov\/Recalls\/2026\/Plantimex-Recalls-Mamisan-Lidocaine-Ointment-Containers-Due-to-Risk-of-Serious-Injury-or-Death-from-Child-Poisoning-Violates-Mandatory-Standard-for-Child-Resistant-Packaging?utm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.cpsc.gov\/Recalls\/2026\/Plantimex-Recalls-Mamisan-Lidocaine-Ointment-Containers-Due-to-Risk-of-Serious-Injury-or-Death-from-Child-Poisoning-Violates-Mandatory-Standard-for-Child-Resistant-Packaging?utm\">U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling<\/a> Mamisan Pain Relieving Topical Ointment due to the product\u2019s packaging failing to meet federal child-resistant standards. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"ZG4YYZHZHNCUTNIMLUKH2FALFM\">The ointment contains lidocaine, a medication that can cause serious harm \u2014 or even death \u2014 if ingested by young children.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"5JMUNBFI4RFZZKGO3QESGHTGRE\">\u201cThe ointment\u2019s packaging is not child-resistant, posing a risk of serious injury or death from poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children,\u201d the CPSC warns.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"YN2FXULVDFB2NL2GCJN2TOCNBA\">Consumers are advised to immediately secure the recalled products out of the sight and reach of children and contact Plantimex for a free replacement lid.<\/p>\n<ul stores nationwide and online between April 2024 and October 2025 for about $10.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"LGIVCJ5G55AXLL6ACBHS3TQIAU\">The recalled product comes in a 3.52-ounce jar labeled \u201cMamisan Pain Relieving Topical Ointment\u201d with UPC number 860006498115. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"5VA4PI3VOFE2NAUZMR7PUVMYTQ\">While no injuries have been reported, safety officials are urging consumers to take immediate action by storing the recalled products away from children and contacting Plantimex for a new lid. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"YNJPW6WKQJDYNPLIJ5EOVGPOZY\">Plantimex can be contacted at 855-752-6869 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.,
