But its latest spin-off, NCIS: Tony &amp; Ziva, will only air for one.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe drama series starring Cote de Pablo and\u00a0Michael Weatherly \u2014 reprising their roles from the flagship series \u2014 will not be renewed for a second season on Paramount+, the streamer confirmed on Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cWe feel incredibly lucky to have had the chance to play these characters once again and to tell the next chapter of Tony and Ziva\u2019s story,\u201d said stars de Pablo and Weatherly, in a joint statement. \u201cOur deepest thanks go to our extraordinary cast, crew, writers, directors, and producers, and to our partners at CBS Studios and Paramount+ who helped make this dream a reality. But most of all, we want to thank the fans around the world who joined us on this adventure and finally got to see Tony and Ziva find their happily ever after.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tOrdered to series\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/cote-de-pablo-michael-weatherly-return-to-ncis-verse-with-paramount-series-1235838782\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in February 2024<\/a>,\u00a0Tony and Ziva\u00a0found the two former NCIS agents living in Paris, where they reunited to raise their daughter after Ziva \u2014\u00a0who had been presumed dead \u2014 returned to complete a final mission for the agency (de Pablo left\u00a0NCIS\u00a0in 2013, returning for a guest arc in 2017; Weatherly departed as a regular in 2015).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe action was more serialized on the now-canceled show than the other series in the NCIS franchise. It\u00a0kicked off after Tony\u2019s security company was attacked, and followed him and Ziva as they went on the run across Europe to find out who\u2019s after them, while keeping their unconventional family together.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tIn addition to the original NCIS, the franchise continues with Paramount+\u2019s NCIS: Sydney (currently on its third season) and CBS\u2019 NCIS: Origins (currently in its second). Past NCIS spin-off efforts include NCIS: New Orleans and NCIS: Hawaii.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tJohn\u00a0McNamara served as showrunner and other actors, included Amita Suman,\u00a0Maximilian Osinski, Julian Ovenden, Nassima Benchicou, Lara Rossi, Isla Gie, Terence\u00a0Maynard and James D\u2019Arcy were featured on the season. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"CBS\u2019 NCIS has run for an incredible 23 seasons.
