The heat has mostly locked in for the next week across North Texas.<\/p>\n

The high Saturday of 77 degrees is forecast to come within two degrees of the record temperature for Dec. 20, according to the National Weather<\/a> Service\u2019s Fort Worth office. And after a brief interlude, Christmas Day is forecast<\/a> to be 23 degrees above normal for late December. The temperature, at least, will not be feeling like Christmas.<\/p>\n

Stronger winds and sunny conditions should continue Saturday, with a cold front moving in Saturday night. Minimum temperatures will still be above normal, only briefly dipping into the upper 40s, but the high shouldn\u2019t climb as much Sunday afternoon, with a forecasted maximum of 59 degrees.<\/p>\n

After Sunday\u2019s disruption to the toasty pattern, the warmth will quickly reassert itself with a high of 74 on Monday. Temperatures should stay in the 70s through Christmas.<\/p>\n
