As a result, suburban counties saw far more outages than Philly, he said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \">Winds registered <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/weather\/high-wind-advisory-rain-power-outages-friday-20251218.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/weather\/high-wind-advisory-rain-power-outages-friday-20251218.html\">as high as 62 mph<\/a> Friday afternoon. Around 7 p.m., a pine tree fell on a <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/topic\/chestnut-hill\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chestnut Hill<\/a> apartment, <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/philadelphia\/news\/damaging-winds-fallen-trees-philadelphia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/philadelphia\/news\/damaging-winds-fallen-trees-philadelphia\/\">CBS reported<\/a>, while in <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/topic\/roxborough\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Roxborough<\/a>, a tree fell on a vehicle, sending two people to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \">Temperatures plummeted into the 20s Friday night, and, according to Brubaker, about 80,000 homes lost power.
