Chiefs owner Clark Hunt\u2019s family suffered a tragic loss in the devastating flooding in Texas<\/a> over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Janie Hunt, a young cousin in the family, was one of the Camp Mystic campers who died<\/a> in the incident.<\/p>\n

She was just 9 years old. <\/p>\n

\u201cOur hearts are broken by the devastation from the floods in Wimberley and the tragic loss of so many lives \u2014 including a precious little Hunt cousin, along with several friend\u2019s little girls,\u201d Tavia Hunt, Clark\u2019s wife, wrote on Instagram<\/a>. \u201cHow do we trust a God who is supposed to be good, all knowing and all powerful, but who allows such terrible things to happen \u2014 even to children? <\/p>\n

\u201cThat is a sacred and tender question \u2014 and one the Bible doesn\u2019t shy away from. Scripture is filled with the cries of those whose hearts have been shattered, who still wrestle to trust the same God they believe allowed the pain.\u201d <\/p>\n

Janie was the great-granddaughter of the late billionaire William Herbert Hunt, who was the brother of the late Chiefs founder Lamar Hunt.<\/p>\n

It was Janie Hunt\u2019s first time attending the all-girls camp<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Five girls, along with the camp\u2019s director, are among the deaths<\/a> while at least 11 are missing.<\/p>\n
