The Indiana Fever<\/a> had a total of 18 players suit up for them in 2025 due to injuries. The team was forced to sign players on hardship deals following the injuries to Caitlin Clark<\/a>, Sophie Cunningham<\/a> and Sydney Colson, among a few others.<\/p>\n

Chloe Bibby, who went undrafted in 2022, was among the players the Fever signed on a hardship deal. She started the 2025 campaign with the Golden State Valkyries but eventually found a home in Indiana.<\/p>\n

The Australian forward initially signed a seven-day hardship deal to provide some frontcourt depth for the Fever, and after impressing with 9.0 points on 44.8% shooting in two games, she earned a rest-of-season contract<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bibby averaged 3.9 points and 1.2 rebounds across a total of nine games played for the Fever. Unfortunately, her season ended prematurely due to a left knee injury.<\/p>\n

Now, amid the offseason, Bibby is playing in Spain with Girona. However, she will remain busy throughout the next couple of months, as she is also set to play for Australia in March 2026.<\/p>\n

In an announcement on social media, the Australian women’s national basketball team revealed that Bibby is part of its roster for the upcoming FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament that is set to take place in T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n

The Australian team, nicknamed the Opals, will face five teams in the qualifying tournament: Argentina, Japan, Hungary, T\u00fcrkiye and Canada.<\/p>\n

It’s worth noting that Bibby has been a fixture on the Australian team. She was part of the Opals teams that won gold in the 2025 FIBA Women’s Asia World Cup and bronze in the 2022 FIBA World Cup in Sydney.<\/p>\n

Bibby and Australia are under the guidance of WNBA<\/a> coach Sandy Brondello, who is now the head coach of the Toronto Tempo after parting ways with the New York Liberty<\/a>.<\/p>\n
