Silva posted a 14-point, 10-rebound double-double, the sophomore’s second in her last three games and third of the season.

TCU maintained a double-digit lead for the final 23 minutes of the ballgame. The Horned Frogs outscored the Wildcats 39-22 over the second and third quarters.

With the win, TCU moved to 13-0 on the season and overtook No. 2 Texas for the longest active home winning streak in D1 college basketball at 34 games. Kansas State fell to 7-7 as TCU handed the Wildcats their second-largest margin of defeat in a game in the last two seasons.

TCU shot 51 percent from the floor and assisted on 20 of its 29 buckets. Five Frogs finished with at least three dimes. Kansas State drained six of its first 10 shots and took a 13-12 edge into the first media timeout. The Frogs scored six unanswered points to close the opening frame. TCU then bridged a 15-2 run between the first and second quarters to go on top 29-17 with 6:00 to go before halftime.

Miles and Silva were responsible for 17 of TCU’s points in the first period, the former of whom had nine.

Suarez capped the second quarter scoring spurt with a 3-pointer, the second of her game-high three.

TCU stretched the lead to 37-22 via an 8-0 run and took a 39-26 advantage into the locker room.

Miles tacked on 10 points to her tally in the third, as the Horned Frogs assumed a 20-point lead entering the final period.

TCU stifled Kansas State into 33 percent shooting (21-63) and allowed just four 3-pointers.

The Horned Frogs limited Taryn Sides, the Wildcats leading scorer at 15 points per game, to just 10 points. Sides did not register a field goal in the first half and was unable to put points on the board until there were 40 seconds remaining in the first half.

TCU transformed a 43-30 edge on the glass into 44 points in the paint.

The Frogs knocked down their final 12 free throw attempts and went 13-16 at the charity stripe.

Silva padded her stat line with a season-high four blocks while Maddie Scherr added three of her own.
