DSNY will not be collecting this upcoming Thursday, as it is Christmas.<\/p>\n
More Local News <\/a><\/p>\n Residents who typically have their trash, curbside composting, and recycling collected on Thursday should place their materials out for pickup on Thursday evening, the agency recommends.<\/p>\n \u201cThe New York City Department of Sanitation announced that in observance of Christmas Day, there will be NO trash, Curbside Composting, nor recycling collection on Thursday, December 25, 2025.\u201d<\/p>\n Collection will resume on Friday, DSNY wrote on its X account<\/a>.<\/p>\n DSNY also reminded New Yorkers that delays may occur after holidays and asked for patience as it works to collect the backlog of material.<\/p>\n Matthew Euzarraga is a multimedia journalist from El Paso, Texas.
