PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — It’s been over two years since a man was shot and killed in the Logan section of the city. Now, his family is still looking to bring his killer to justice.<\/p>\n
“I hurt every day, I hurt every single day,” says Judith Wilson. “Its two years, two years, two years, I’m still at day one.”<\/p>\n
Wilson is still struggling to come to terms with the murder of her first born son, 32-year-old LeJon Alexandre.<\/p>\n
“This person, he didn’t just take my son, he took a brother, an uncle, a friend,” says Wilson.<\/p>\n
It was on Thursday, October 12th, 2023 at almost 9 a.m. when gunfire rang out on the 200 block of West Ashdale Street in Logan.<\/p>\n
Police officers just happened to be two blocks away serving a search warrant on an unrelated home invasion when they heard the shots being fired.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival, they found Alexandre with a gunshot wound to the head.<\/p>\n
“That’s my son you know, it could be any one of our children,” says Wilson.<\/p>\n
Flying bullets also hit a Metro Fleet Bus that was transporting members of the elderly community at the time, shattering the driver’s side window.<\/p>\n
The driver was hit in the upper body, but survived his wounds.<\/p>\n
Those on the bus were shaken up, but not hurt.<\/p>\n
More than two years later, there is no suspect in custody.<\/p>\n
Wilson has a message for her son’s killer<\/p>\n
“Just do the right thing, and turn yourself in and at least let there be closure.”<\/p>\n
The Citizens Crime Commission is offering a $20,000 reward that leads to an arrest and conviction in this case.<\/p>\n
