ARLINGTON \u2014 Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs cleared up a few things after his team\u2019s loss to the Chargers<\/a> on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Diggs missed a game earlier this season with a concussion<\/a>, and the explanation from the team was met with questions.<\/p>\n

Diggs said after the game that he was hit on the top of the head by a pole he was using to mount a flat-screen TV.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was trying to be a handyman,\u201d Diggs said, \u201cwhich I shouldn\u2019t have been.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Diggs first suffered the concussion on Oct. 17, team owner Jerry Jones and coach Brian Schottenheimer described the incident as a home accident. At one point, Schottenheimer said he didn\u2019t know how Diggs suffered the concussion. Jones also said there was no way to dispute what occurred. <\/p>\n

Diggs said he had some regrets not revealing to the public how he got injured.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, but it wasn\u2019t that serious to me,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

Diggs then went on injured reserve on Oct. 25 with knee soreness and was dealing with the effects of the concussion. <\/p>\n

There were questions about his playing status with Schottenheimer saying he needed to do more in practice. The Cowboys activated Diggs\u2019 21-day practice window, and the cornerback thought he was going to play in last week\u2019s game against the Vikings.<\/p>\n

Diggs said he was healthy enough to play, but Jones disputed that<\/a>. <\/p>\n

In the later stages of the week leading up to the Chargers game, cornerback DaRon Bland was ruled out for the season with a foot injury<\/a>. It allowed Diggs to be activated from the injury list on the day his 21-day practice window was to expire.<\/p>\n

After playing on Sunday, when he recorded six tackles and allowed a touchdown, Diggs said it was good to finally get on the field.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a blessing, it felt amazing,\u201d said Diggs, who missed the last eight games before Sunday. \u201cSuper excited. Super happy to get to go out there and compete with my brothers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Diggs\u2019 future is uncertain for 2026. The Cowboys can release Diggs to save money ($15.5 million) on the salary cap and go with younger players at the position.<\/p>\n

When asked if this was his last home game with the Cowboys, he said, \u201cPossibly. Yeah, possibly.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later, he added on offseason discussions with the team: \u201cAfter the season I guess we\u2019ll figure it out.\u201d<\/p>\n
