A teen girl was taken into custody on Sunday morning after, police said, a man was stabbed to death in a home in Philly’s Roxborough neighborhood.<\/p>\n
According to police, the incident happened at about 9:45 a.m. on Sunday when officers responded to a home along the 500 block of Wartman Street in Roxborough on a report of a stabbing. <\/p>\n
Here, officers found a 57-year-old man who had been stabbed in his ribs, officials said.<\/p>\n
The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced at about 10:19 a.m.<\/p>\n
Investigators in this case have taken a 16-year-old girl into custody in relation to this incident, but, police did not say if she will be charged in the crime. <\/p>\n
As of about 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, police said she was being held “for further investigation.” <\/p>\n
Officials did not provide further information on how the incident occurred or detail any motive in the stabbing.<\/p>\n
But, police said, an investigation is ongoing. <\/p>\n
