{"id":465084,"date":"2025-12-22T20:29:16","date_gmt":"2025-12-22T20:29:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/465084\/"},"modified":"2025-12-22T20:29:16","modified_gmt":"2025-12-22T20:29:16","slug":"music-academy-jog-a-thon-raises-43000-for-art-instruments-more","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/465084\/","title":{"rendered":"Music academy Jog-A-Thon raises $43,000 for art, instruments, more"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PACIFIC BEACH \u2013 Crown Point Junior Music Academy parent and Jog-A-Thon co-chair Jessica Pope beamed as she announced that the results of the school\u2019s annual fundraiser \u201cexceeded our wildest dreams.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Held last month, the event drew the school\u2019s 310 students, who raised more than $43,000.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur goal was $30,000, so exceeding that by $13,000 was so wonderful,\u201d Pope said. \u201cThis money will be funneled directly back into student classes and activities. This fundraiser supports our students\u2019 science classes, art workshops, weekly PE classes and the always successful Missoula Children\u2019s Theatre classes and productions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe also use this money to repair musical instruments, field trips, add books to our library and learning technology,\u201d said parent Lindsey Phillips.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe success of this fundraiser is not just a testament to Crown Point Junior Music Academy parents and families,\u201d Principal Sakeenah Smith said. \u201cCPJMA also enjoys wide support from our business community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mission Bagel, American Acai Cafe, Crown Point Coffee and Ice Cream, Yogurt on The Rocks and Mr. Frostie supported the students.<\/p>\n<p>First-grade student Luca Wright and third-grade students Quinn Garcia and Charlie Monte earned top runner medals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEach of these students ran 20 laps, a total of 2.5 miles in 23 minutes. That\u2019s a 9.12-minute per-mile pace.
