Dr. Eads joined UTSA in 2022 and became a full-time faculty member this year in the College for Health, Community and Policy. She was widely respected for her dedication to teaching and student success.<\/p>\n
Dr. Eads was an extraordinary educator whose devotion to her students and to the craft of teaching embodied the very best of our academic community,\u201d said Heather Shipley, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs. \u201cThrough her insight, expertise and unwavering commitment to student success, she inspired generations of learners and colleagues alike. In addition to the loss of faculty and students, many UTSA employees live in or own property within the flood-affected areas. The university has reached out to offer support and assistance during this challenging time.<\/p>\n
UTSA encourages members of its community who are struggling to access the university\u2019s well-being resources. Additional support services are available to students, faculty, and staff as they navigate the emotional toll of the disaster.<\/p>\n
The university remains in close contact with local authorities and regional partners as search efforts continue for those still missing.
