The Chargers clinched a postseason berth on Sunday by virtue of their 34-17 win over the Cowboys<\/a><\/strong> coupled with a Colts home loss against the 49ers on Monday night<\/p>\n With two games left, the Chargers appear to be playing their best football with the playoffs on the horizon.<\/p>\n “I think the really cool thing about this team is that we’ve really taken it week by week. We’re never looking too far ahead or looking too far back,” Justin Herbert<\/a><\/strong> said. “We’re able to pick each other up, the past couple weeks the defense has really been able to help us out and [Sunday] we were able to kind of help [them] out a little bit.<\/p>\n “When all three phases are playing complementary for each other, that’s when we’re at our best,” Herbert added.<\/p>\n The Bolts moved to 11-4 on the season after the Week 16 win and clinched a spot in the dance a week earlier than they did in Year 1 under Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh in 2024.<\/p>\n The Chargers, by the way, are still on contention for both the AFC West title and the conference’s No. 1 seed.<\/p>\n The Broncos lead the division at 12-3 but lost Sunday to the Jaguars, who are also now 12-3. The Bolts already have a head-to-head win over the Broncos in Week 3.<\/p>\n The Chargers are currently the No. 5 seed in the AFC playoff picture. If that holds, the Chargers would play the No. 4 seed, which is currently the Steelers, who lead the AFC North.<\/p>\n Buffalo also has an 11-4 record but are the No. 6 seed because the Chargers have a better conference record (8-2) than the Bills (8-3).<\/p>\n
