{"id":46595,"date":"2025-07-07T18:11:09","date_gmt":"2025-07-07T18:11:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/46595\/"},"modified":"2025-07-07T18:11:09","modified_gmt":"2025-07-07T18:11:09","slug":"conchita-martinez-shares-what-her-relationship-with-mirra-andreeva-is-really-like-as-she-issues-her-very-stern-warning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/46595\/","title":{"rendered":"Conchita Martinez shares what her relationship with Mirra Andreeva is really like as she issues her very stern warning"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Mirra Andreeva has once again been impressing at Wimbledon, having just stormed into the round of 16.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/wimbledon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Andreeva<\/a> reached the fourth round of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/wimbledon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wimbledon<\/a> back in 2023, before the qualifier was knocked out by Madison Keys.<\/p>\n<p>Russian teenager <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/todd-woodbridge-makes-left-field-pick-to-win-wimbledon-over-coco-gauff-and-aryna-sabalenka\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Andreeva has been tipped to win Wimbledon<\/a>, with top seed Aryna Sabalenka the only higher-ranked player remaining in the draw.<\/p>\n<p>The 18-year-old has yet to drop a set at the Grand Slam, with Emma Navarro representing her next opponent.<\/p>\n<p>And her latest adventure once again comes alongside Conchita Martinez, who is currently coaching the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/wta\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WTA<\/a> number seven.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"690\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/GettyImages-2223672965-1024x690.jpg\" alt=\"Mirra Andreeva beats Hailey Baptiste to reach the fourth round at Wimbledon.\" class=\"wp-image-108567\" \/>Photo by Clive Brunskill\/Getty ImagesWhat the relationship is like between Mirra Andreeva and Conchita Martinez<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of her meeting with Navarro, Martinez shared an insight into their relationship, telling <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/sport\/tennis\/articles\/cvg9d4ll0yzo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BBC Sport<\/a>: \u201cMirra is a very special player and very complete in everything she does \u2013 but also improvable.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think she has a lot to learn. Can you be friends? Yes. We have a great relationship.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I\u2019m the one there on the tennis court, changing things and making her improve. I\u2019m the one overseeing her whole career.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m in charge of finding everything around her that will work to make her a better player. The relationship is good, we get along great and she respects my work.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor me, that is super important. The kid in me is brought out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think she also enjoys that because I\u2019m not a serious figure. I can laugh and then we go back to work.
