{"id":466638,"date":"2025-12-23T13:05:19","date_gmt":"2025-12-23T13:05:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/466638\/"},"modified":"2025-12-23T13:05:19","modified_gmt":"2025-12-23T13:05:19","slug":"stargazing-children-new-banksy-unveiled-in-london-in-time-for-christmas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/466638\/","title":{"rendered":"Stargazing children: New Banksy unveiled in London in time for Christmas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n         Published on<br \/>\n            23\/12\/2025 &#8211; 9:16 GMT+1\n            <\/p>\n<p>The world\u2019s most famous and elusive street artist Banksy has confirmed that he is responsible for a new mural that appeared in London yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Painted above a garage and depicting two stargazing children lying down and in winter gear, the artwork appeared on the side of a building in Bayswater, west London.<\/p>\n<p>Banksy posted two photos of the artwork on his official Instagram account. <\/p>\n<p>An identical image also appeared at the foot of the Centre Point tower in Tottenham Court Road, central London, but the graffiti artist did not post that version on his account.<\/p>\n<p>Banksy\u2019s work is often <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euronews.com\/culture\/2024\/10\/10\/banksy-stab-proof-vest-made-famous-by-rapper-stormzy-sold-for-930000\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>politically charged, satirical and critical of government policy<\/strong><\/a>. However, the latest artwork did not seem to carry an overt political message \u2013 although some have suggested that it addresses the topic of child homelessness. <\/p>\n<p>In September, the artist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euronews.com\/culture\/2025\/09\/08\/its-a-cover-up-new-bansky-artwork-hidden-by-guards-at-londons-royal-courts-of-justices\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>made headlines with a mural<\/strong><\/a> showing a judge armed with a gavel looming over an unarmed protester with a blood-splattered placard.
