There have been mixed updates on Kai Havertz<\/a> in recent weeks, with some<\/a> reporting that he\u2019s pushing to be back before the end of 2025, whilst others<\/a> claim he\u2019s targeting the matches in early-to-mid January.<\/p>\n

Either way, the player is clearly meant to be in the final stages of recovery from an injury that\u2019s now lasted over four months.<\/p>\n

Monday provided another hint of Havertz\u2019s progress, with the player pictured<\/a> out on the London Colney training pitches alongside Viktor Gyokeres<\/a>. This is the first time he\u2019s been seen in training outdoors, though it\u2019s unclear whether he was fully involved in the session.<\/p>\n

Havertz has been out injured since the first game of the season, playing just 30 minutes against Manchester United before suffering a knee injury that has seen him sidelined ever since.<\/p>\n

The striker ideally would have returned to full fitness already, but Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann<\/a>\u00a0revealed<\/a> last month that he\u2019d \u201chad a minor relapse on his injury\u201d.<\/p>\n

That ruled the player out for another month, but Mikel Arteta<\/a> confirmed<\/a> last week that \u201che\u2019s progressing really well\u00a0and quite fast\u2026we are really positive\u00a0that if everything continues like that\u00a0in the next training sessions,\u00a0he\u2019s going to be with us soon\u201d.<\/p>\n

Havertz was Arsenal\u2019s first-choice striker last season, scoring 15 goals and assisting five despite missing over three months with a hamstring injury.<\/p>\n

The German will return with competition for starts in his position, given both Gabriel Jesus<\/a> and Gyokeres are now fit too. But he has a great chance of reclaiming his first-choice role if he can recapture his 2024\/25 form.<\/p>\n
