The Summit was not just about dialogue\u00a0\u2013\u00a0it was about action. WHO unveiled the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/news\/item\/25-09-2025-traditional-medicine-global-library-to-launch-in-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-sf-ec-immutable=\"\">Traditional Medicine Global Library<\/a>, a first-of-its-kind digital platform\u00a0consolidating\u00a01.6 million resources\u00a0on\u00a0TM, from scientific studies to Indigenous knowledge. With advanced features like\u00a0Evidence Gap Maps\u00a0and an AI-powered tool, TMGL GPT, the Library promises to transform access to trusted information and accelerate research worldwide.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraid=\"190958513\" paraeid=\"{28fa8161-af3f-4ab7-ab6c-94a4a9687af1}{113}\">Innovation took\u00a0centre\u00a0stage with the launch of\u00a0Health &amp; Heritage Innovations (H2I), an initiative to nurture breakthrough ideas that bridge traditional practices with\u00a0cutting-edge\u00a0technologies such as AI, genomics, and digital health. From over\u00a01000 submissions,\u00a021 finalists\u00a0were announced at the Summit and will enter a year-long acceleration\u00a0programme\u00a0to refine prototypes, receive scientific and regulatory guidance, and connect with\u00a0policy-makers\u00a0and investors.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraid=\"1240597262\" paraeid=\"{28fa8161-af3f-4ab7-ab6c-94a4a9687af1}{174}\">Countries rallied behind the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tm-summit.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Delhi-Declaration.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-sf-ec-immutable=\"\">Delhi\u00a0Declaration<\/a>,\u00a0with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/publications\/m\/item\/commitments-by-member-states-and-other-stakeholders-pledged-at-the-second-who-global-summit-on-traditional-medicine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-sf-ec-immutable=\"\">commitments from 26 Member States<\/a>,\u00a0signaling a new era for traditional medicine. This collective pledge focuses on integrating traditional medicine into primary health care, strengthening regulation and safety standards, investing in research, and building interoperable data systems to track outcomes.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0a shift from recognition to results\u00a0\u2013\u00a0ensuring traditional medicine is not a parallel system but a driver of universal health coverage.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraid=\"660341933\" paraeid=\"{28fa8161-af3f-4ab7-ab6c-94a4a9687af1}{208}\">\u201cThrough the Delhi Commitment, countries have agreed not only on why traditional medicine matters\u00a0\u2013\u00a0but on how to act,\u201d said\u00a0Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General. \u201cTraditional medicine can help to address many of the threats to\u00a0health\u00a0of our modern world: the growing burden of noncommunicable diseases; inequitable access to health services; and climate change. It can help to support care that is person-centred, culturally grounded, and holistic.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraid=\"1582475247\" paraeid=\"{28fa8161-af3f-4ab7-ab6c-94a4a9687af1}{238}\">Looking ahead, WHO will work with Member States to turn these commitments into reality\u2013\u00a0scaling access to trusted knowledge, accelerating innovation, and embedding\u00a0TM\u00a0into health systems everywhere.
