Rob Reiner<\/strong> and Michele Singer Reiner\u2019s<\/strong> death certificates have been released.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, December 23, Page Six<\/a> obtained the late husband-and-wife duo\u2019s death certificates from the Los Angeles County Public Health Department.<\/p>\n

The certificates reveal that the couple died within \u201cminutes\u201d of receiving \u201cmultiple sharp force injuries\u201d with a \u201cknife, by another,\u201d per the outlet.<\/p>\n

The publication also noted that the couple\u2019s bodies were cremated, and their eldest son, Jake Reiner,<\/strong> 34, was given the ashes.<\/p>\n

As the National Enquirer previously reported<\/a>, Rob and Michele\u2019s bodies were discovered in their Brentwood, California, home on Sunday, December 15, and their deaths were ruled a homicide on Wednesday, December 17.<\/p>\n

Rob and Michele\u2019s younger son, Nick Reiner<\/strong> \u2014 who was reportedly diagnosed with schizophrenia<\/a>, according to TMZ<\/a> \u2014 was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the death of his parents, with a special circumstance of multiple murders and a special allegation that he used a knife<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Nick made his first court appearance on Wednesday, and his attorney, Alan Jackson<\/strong>, declined to enter a plea on his behalf.<\/p>\n

Jackson shared a statement with reporters on Wednesday regarding the case.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe ask that during this process, you allow the system to move forward in the way that it was designed to move forward,\u201d Jackson said per the BBC<\/a>. \u201cNot with a rush to judgement, not with jumping to conclusions, but with restraint and with dignity, and with the respect that this system and this process deserves, and that the family deserves.\u201d<\/p>\n

The arraignment will continue on January 7.<\/p>\n
