SAPD is hoping these newly released photos will help identify the victim who’s body was found in an empty field on the southwest side earlier this month.<\/p>\n

SAN ANTONIO \u2014 The San Antonio Police Department has released photos of clothing found with human remains in an empty field earlier this month<\/a> in hopes of being able to identify the victim.<\/p>\n

Since the remains were found on Dec. 9, homicide investigators have had little to go on as they try to identify the victim who’s remains were found in southwest San Antonio.<\/p>\n

The bones were found in the area near what appears to be an abandoned hand-dug well near Quintana Road and Southwest Military Drive.<\/p>\n

Investigators said someone walking in the area saw some clothing under some rocks and when they pulled on the clothing, they discovered the remains.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Because of the state of the remains, police said this very well may be a tough case to crack. But with these newly released photos, officials are hoping to find someone who might recognize who the clothing belonged too.<\/p>\n

An SAPD Sergeant said it’s likely the person may have died some time ago, in an area that is a conduit for travel for people in the area who are homeless.<\/p>\n
