JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 People are reacting to a popular Jacksonville event venue\u2019s plan to close for two years. <\/p>\n
Daily\u2019s Place made the announcement on Monday.<\/p>\n
For Hayden Jansen and Aria Rathle, Daily\u2019s Place has been a big part of their childhood. <\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve seen Big Time Rush and Dave Matthews Band,\u201d said Jansen. \u201cI\u2019ve seen Glass Animals,\u201d said Rathle.<\/p>\n
The event venue announced it will be closing its doors for a two-year \u201cintermission\u201d due to the Stadium of the Future construction at EverBank Stadium.<\/p>\n
News of its temporary closure left locals like Rathle and Jansen shocked. <\/p>\n
\u201cI really like it at Daily\u2019s place because I feel like there is no, like, bad seats there, so it\u2019s really sad that it\u2019s shutting down for two years,\u201d said Jansen<\/p>\n
Bold Events, which plans the events at Daily\u2019s Place, sent a statement to Action News Jax confirming the venue\u2019s temporary closure.<\/p>\n
Here is the full statement from officials on what is being billed as an \u201cintermission\u201d for Daily\u2019s Place:<\/p>\n
\u201cDaily\u2019s Place will be taking a temporary pause or an \u201cintermission\u201d as construction progresses on the Stadium of the Future project next door. This is a planned and temporary intermission, and we\u2019ll use the downtime to focus on fan experience, digital engagement, and preparing for our next chapter.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause construction timelines continue to evolve, we\u2019re not in a position to say when Daily\u2019s Place will be back on line. What we can say is that the venue will return once the surrounding work allows, and we\u2019re looking forward to welcoming fans back with an elevated experience.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rathle hopes that this intermission doesn\u2019t limit the artist\u2019s ability to come to Jacksonville. <\/p>\n
\u201cEven though Jacksonville\u2019s big, I\u2019d say that\u2019s one of the biggest venues that everyone goes to to see shows and concerts. So I definitely wonder what\u2019s going to happen with changes,\u201d said Rathle.<\/p>\n
We reached out to \u2018Bold Events\u2019 and asked if Daily\u2019s Place\u2019s temporary closure means more events would happen at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, and if there is a backup venue for concerts and events during this time.<\/p>\n
We are still waiting to hear back. <\/p>\n
The last concert at Daily\u2019s Place before it closes temporarily will be the Jonas Brothers on December 30th.<\/p>\n
