The White House crypto czar David Sacks announced<\/a> the dawn of “Golden Age” as the U.S.\u00a0gross domestic product (GDP) grew<\/a> at the more-than-expected annual rate of 4.3%\u00a0in Q3, the consumer price index (CPI) rose<\/a> at the\u00a0less-than-expected\u00a0rate of 2.7% in November, and the recent lowering<\/a> of interest rates by the Federal Reserve to the range of\u00a03.5% to 3.75%.<\/p>\n

Sacks thanked President Donald Trump for the impressive figures and said\u00a0the table is set for an “even better 2026.”<\/p>\n

Gold’s price also hit an all-time high of $4,441.92 and the S&P 500\u00a0posted a new\u00a0record close of\u00a06,909.79 on Dec. 23.<\/p>\n

Popular TV personality\u00a0Jim Cramer<\/a>,\u00a0well-known for his shows “Mad Money” and “Squawk on the Street,” said<\/a> that when a big number drops, tech stocks like Nvidia, crypto, AI, etc. go down.<\/p>\n

“The big freakout–never ends.\u00a0It is just STUPID,” he remarked.<\/p>\n

Cramer isn’t wrong.<\/p>\n

The crypto market has still not been able to recover from the aftermath of the Oct. 10 crash, when President Trump\u2019s anti-China tariff remarks wiped out $19 billion in market value and dragged digital assets sharply lower.<\/p>\n

The total crypto market cap has been nearly flat for the last seven days at $3 trillion.<\/p>\n

Bitcoin (BTC) has slipped 0.5% in a week to trade at $87,142.71 at the time of writing on Christmas Eve.<\/p>\n

Crypto analyst Micha\u00ebl van de Poppe expressed frustration<\/a> at the fact that\u00a0Bitcoin is 35% lower than its record high despite\u00a0Nasdaq, gold, and commodities peaking and inflation and interest rates cooling.<\/p>\n

It’s not that only Bitcoin is doing terribly on the charts. No other leading cryptocurrencies are doing any better.<\/p>\n

Ethereum<\/a> (ETH) has fallen 0.4% in a week to $2,927.50.<\/p>\n

BNB<\/a>, on the other hand, has dropped sharply by 2.5% during the period and was exchanging hands at $839.21 at the time of writing. XRP<\/a> has sunk 2.8% to trade at $1.86.<\/p>\n

A Santa Claus rally seems highly unlikely to arrive to the digital assets market.<\/p>\n
