{"id":469513,"date":"2025-12-24T21:29:41","date_gmt":"2025-12-24T21:29:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/469513\/"},"modified":"2025-12-24T21:29:41","modified_gmt":"2025-12-24T21:29:41","slug":"your-christmas-and-new-years-eve-transit-guide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/469513\/","title":{"rendered":"Your Christmas and New Year\u2019s Eve transit guide"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Millions of New Yorkers are expected to travel across the city for Christmas and New Year\u2019s Eve celebrations, and the MTA is adjusting subway, bus and commuter rail service to handle the holiday rush.<\/p>\n<p>For real-time updates and trip planning, riders are encouraged to check the MTA website or use the MTA and TrainTime apps.<\/p>\n<p>Subway service<\/p>\n<p><b>Christmas Eve (Wednesday, Dec. 24)<\/b><br \/>New York City subways are operating on a regular weekday schedule.<\/p>\n<p><b>Christmas Day (Thursday, Dec. 25)<\/b><br \/>Subways are operating on a Sunday schedule.<\/p>\n<p><b>New Year\u2019s Eve (Wednesday, Dec. 31)<\/b><br \/>Subways are operating on a regular weekday schedule, with increased service on the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, C, D, G, N, Q and R lines and the 42nd Street Shuttle during the evening and into the post-midnight hours.<br \/>The A train will run express until 2:30 a.m.<\/p>\n<p><b>New Year\u2019s Day (Thursday, Jan. 1)<\/b><br \/>Subways will operate on a Sunday schedule.<\/p>\n<p>Bus service<\/p>\n<p><b>Christmas Eve<\/b><br \/>Bus routes in the Bronx, Brooklyn and Manhattan, and some in Queens, are operating on a reduced weekday schedule.
