The winds will be much stronger, making it feel cooler. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>After Thursday, things take a turn. You may want to stay off the roads Friday evening and Saturday morning \u2014 be where you need to be by Friday afternoon!<\/p>\n<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/christmas-day.png#.png\" alt=\"Christmas day forecast - starts at 31 degrees at 6 a.m., rises to a high of 49 at 3 p.m., starts cloudy and turns sunny by 3 \" height=\"349\" width=\"620\" class=\" lazyload\"  loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                CBS News Philadelphia<\/p>\n<p>A NEXT Weather Alert is in effect from 3 p.m. Friday through 10 a.m. Saturday because of potentially dangerous weather.<\/p>\n<p>NEXT big change: Dangerous winter storm<\/p>\n<p>A strong winter storm system will pass just south of the area Friday evening and Saturday morning. This begins after 3 p.m. Friday and      ends around 10 a.m. Saturday, and it will affect the entire region. Here&#8217;s what to know:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Depending on where you live, there      could be heavy snow, a snow-freezing rain combo or mainly rain with some wet snow.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The threat of freezing rain and ice is what makes this system so dangerous.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Where that line of sleet and      freezing rain sets up is the tricky part.<strong> <\/strong>A slight bump north or south could change the      precipitation for better or worse.<\/li>\n<li>There will be periods of snow      followed by sleet or freezing rain.
