The Masai giraffe calf was born via the Species Survival Program<\/a>, which paired her mother, a 12\u2011year\u2011old giraffe named Sunshine, with a 16\u2011year\u2011old male named Miguu.<\/p>\n Kasi was Sunshine\u2019s fifth calf born at the Phoenix Zoo.<\/p>\n Zoo officials said the baby giraffe has been zooming around her mother, and is \u201cquick on her hooves\u201d and \u201cfull of personality.\u201d<\/p>\n The public is expected to have the opportunity to see Kasi for the first time in the zoo\u2019s Savanna habitat in January, as the giraffe is currently spending time with her mother in the giraffe barn behind the scenes, zoo officials said.<\/p>\n Drum roll please\u2026 \ud83e\udd41<\/p>\n The people have spoken!
