It&#8217;s unclear how old the child is.<\/p>\n<p>SAN ANTONIO \u2014 A man is in custody after SAPD says he caused a crash and fled with a child who was also inside the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Around 8:24 p.m. Thursday, officers were on the 9900 block of the access road of Highway 151 when they saw a vehicle lose control and crash into an electrical pole.<\/p>\n<p>The 29-year-old driver was then seen allegedly taking a child from the vehicle and starting to run from the responding officers. Police say the suspect fled across the main lanes of Highway 151 holding the child.<\/p>\n<p>Officers were eventually able to stop the suspect, and he was taken into custody. He has been charged with DWI with a child passenger.<\/p>\n<p>The child had minor but non-life-threatening injuries.
