OAKLEAF \u2014HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital opened the doors to a new emergency care center on Dec. 17.<\/p>\n
The new 10,860-sqaure-foot Royal Pines Emergency is now located west of the First Coast Expressway, near the intersection of Oakleaf Plantation Parkway and Royal Pines Drive.<\/p>\n
Offering 24\/7, high-quality care, the $26 million state-of-the-art facility is an extension of the Orange Park location’s services, serving Oakleaf Plantation, Clay and Duval counties. The emergency center said it will provide the same exceptional level of care as the main campus, serving a fast-growing suburban population.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur new HCA Florida Royal Pines freestanding emergency room in Oakleaf Plantation is a vital addition that significantly enhances access to emergency care for our neighbors in Clay County,\u201d said Chad Patrick, chief executive officer of HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital. \u201cAs part of HCA Florida Healthcare, the largest system in the state, this facility ensures our community has seamless access to the comprehensive, statewide resources of a major network.\u201d <\/p>\n
New features include a trauma bay, 10 private rooms, board-certified emergency physicians and a pediatric treatment room, according to the hospital.<\/p>\n
The center will also offer minimally invasive diagnostics, such as a CT scans, ultrasounds and X-rays, and free transportation to HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital if needed.<\/p>\n
