The Yankees<\/a> watched last offseason as one superstar free agent outfielder left for the crosstown Mets<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But they are reportedly \u201cpretty confident\u201d that another star \u201cwon\u2019t skip to Queens.\u201d<\/p>\n

One year after Juan Soto<\/a> left The Bronx for Queens, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports<\/a> the Yankees believe Cody Bellinger<\/a> won\u2019t follow suit.<\/p>\n

Nobody has \u201ccome close<\/a>\u201d to meeting agent Scott Boras\u2019 demands for Bellinger, Yankees Insider Jack Curry said on the Yankees Hot Stove show on the YES NEtwork.<\/a><\/p>\n

Bellinger, 30, is reportedly seeking<\/a> something in the neighborhood of a 6-year deal worth $180 million, with an average annual value of $30 million.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one has come close, I don\u2019t think, to the demands that are ongoing for Bellinger,\u201d Curry said.<\/p>\n

With Kyle Tucker reportedly looking for 11 years and $418 million, Bellinger could opt to wait and see what Tucker gets before making a decison.<\/p>\n

\u201cBoras does not represent Kyle Tucker,\u201d Michael Kay said. \u201cBoras wants to see what Tucker gets, and then he can slot in Bellinger after that. Until Tucker establishes a market, I think it is going to be slow.\u201d<\/p>\n
