Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>One of the second-prize winning stubs was purchased at a newsstand on Pine Street in the Financial District, while the other was sold at a gas station convenience store, Gurucharan and Brothers, on West Merrick Road in Valley Stream.<\/p>\n<p>The Powerball jackpot Wednesday night marked the second largest in lotto history. The gargantuan grand prize was only smaller than the game\u2019s largest jackpot of $2.04 billion in November 2022.<\/p>\n<p>It was the second time the Powerball grand prize was won on Christmas Eve.
