Be where you need to be by 3 p.m. on Friday if you can!<\/p>\n<p>Friday morning will be cloudy with temperatures below freezing. A NEXT Weather Alert is in effect from 3 p.m. Friday through 10 a.m. Saturday because of potentially dangerous weather.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/1766718857_393_next-alert-full.png#.png\" alt=\"NEXT Weather Alert for a winter storm -- from Friday 3 p.m. to Saturday 10 a.m. -- combo of snow, sleet and freezing rain -- could cause dangerous roads, air delays \" height=\"349\" width=\"620\" class=\" lazyload\"  loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                CBS News Philadelphia<\/p>\n<p>A winter storm warning is in effect for the Poconos and parts of the Lehigh Valley, and a winter weather advisory is in place for the remainder of the Philly area and much of Pennsylvania, New York and West Virginia.<\/p>\n<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/z-future-ice-dma-ibm.png#.png\" alt=\"z-future-ice-dma-ibm.png \" height=\"349\" width=\"620\" class=\" lazyload\"  loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                CBS News Philadelphia<\/p>\n<p>Here are the most important things to know about this storm:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The threat of freezing rain and ice is what makes this      system so dangerous.<\/li>\n<li>This begins in our area after 3 p.m. Friday and ends      between 6 and 10 a.m. Saturday. (Warnings for the western part of the state      begin at 10 a.m. Friday.)<\/li>\n<li>The heavier snow line has shifted slightly north.      However, depending on where you live, there could be heavy snow, a snow\/sleet combination, a snow\/freezing rain combination, or mainly rain with wet snow.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The precipitation may start as all snow, except in southern Delaware and South Jersey, which will get rain.<\/li>\n<li>In Philly, precipitation will shift between snow, sleet and freezing      rain.<\/li>\n<li>Any snow totals will include both the sleet and snow.<\/li>\n<li>The heaviest snow will be north of a line from the      Lehigh Valley to North Jersey and New York.<\/li>\n<li>Philly, Southeast Pennsylvania and parts of South Jersey are on the      edge of the snow\/sleet line with shoveling snow possible.<\/li>\n<li>Roads across the region will be dangerous in places from      either snowpack or up to 0.2 inch of ice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The messy weather could cause delays and cancellations at the airport as well as delays on trains and buses.
