One of the books included in this sale is the Lord of the Rings Illustrated Edition, which is currently sitting at a nice 47% discount. This edition makes a great gift for any Middle-Earth fan, and a handful of other versions of the LotR trilogy, the Hobbit, and the Silmarillion are included in this promotion if you want the full set.<\/p>\n

To take full advantage of the sale, you’ll need to add all three of these illustrated editions to your cart and Amazon will drop the price of the least expensive one. So in this case you’d be getting the Silmarillion for free with your purchase.<\/p>\n

Lord of the Rings Illustrated Editions on Sale at Amazon<\/p>\n

All of the Lord of the Rings illustrated editions are included in the sale, but it’s the collection of Fellowship of the Ring, Two Towers, and Return of the King that is the easiest to recommend. It is a 1,248-page collection of the iconic fantasy saga and features over 30 color illustrations and sketches from J.R.R. Tolkien himself. It also includes two full size fold-out maps by his son Christopher Tolkien, exploring the layout of Middle-Earth in great detail. This oversized tome is hardcover with a premium feeling gray and gold slip cover, and the page ends are printed in red with Elvish text across its length.<\/p>\n

As an added bonus, pages from the Book of Mazarbul<\/a> are included, which are a great companion when you reach one of the most popular chapters in the book, the Bridge of Khazad-d\u00fbm.
