PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 After some early morning showers, Christmas Day has been partly cloudy, mixed in with some sunshine to push our daytime highs into the 70s, some ten degrees above the average.<\/p>\n
Our daytime high in the mid-70s will put us in the top five warmest Christmas days recorded here in the Valley. <\/p>\n
Rain was brief but intense in some areas this morning. <\/p>\n
In the Valley, most gauges only measure a few hundredths of an inch, with Cave Creek and Anthem measuring about two-tenths of an inch for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. <\/p>\n
Glendale and Avondale had .16 inches, and Phoenix Sky Harbor had .03 inches. <\/p>\n
Even with the weather pattern change, there is a high pollution advisory and a No Burn declaration for Maricopa County through Thursday night.<\/p>\n
Tonight, expect partly cloudy skies and overnight lows in the mid to upper 40s. <\/p>\n
Starting Friday, daytime highs should still be in the low 70s, trending down to the upper 60s by the weekend, which is still above average for this time of the year. <\/p>\n
Next week, expect sunny, mild conditions with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. <\/p>\n
We should see an increasing chance of measurable rain by Thursday. We will keep you posted.<\/p>\n
