Will Rob Kardashian<\/a> become a series regular on the next season of his family’s reality show?<\/p>\n In the season 7 finale of The Kardashians, which premiered on Thursday, Dec. 25, Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian<\/a> called her brother to tell him that people were “fangirling” over his appearance in the trailer for the show.<\/p>\n \u201cThey are swooning and freaking out,\u201d Khlo\u00e9, 41, told Rob, 38. He replied, “They are not fangirling.”<\/p>\n Then, a producer asked Rob if he was returning for season 8 \u2014 and he could be heard laughing on the other end of the phone.<\/p>\n \u201cI would hope to be on season 8,\u201d Rob, who also appeared at a family celebration in the season 7 premiere episode, said. \u201cI definitely want to film on season 8.\u201d<\/p>\n When Keeping Up with the Kardashians premiered in 2007, Rob was frequently shown onscreen \u2014 though he\u00a0took a step back from the public eye<\/a>\u00a0in 2016. He later explained that he stopped making public appearances \u2014 including on his family’s show \u2014 because he was “not comfortable” with himself<\/a>.<\/p>\n In July 2025, he went on his sister’s podcast,\u00a0Khlo\u00e9 in Wonderland<\/a>, and was asked about his decision to step away from the spotlight.<\/p>\n “It just has everything to do with myself,” he said. “There’s definitely nothing\u00a0wrong between any of us,” Rob clarified, referring to his relationships with Khlo\u00e9, his older sisters\u00a0Kim<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Kourtney<\/a>, his younger sisters\u00a0Kendall<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Kylie Jenner<\/a>\u00a0and his mom\u00a0Kris Jenner<\/a>.<\/p>\n He further explained that he wasn’t comfortable in his skin \u2014 and he didn’t want to put himself out there if it didn’t feel right.<\/p>\n Kim Kardashian\/Instagram<\/p>\n The Kardashians<\/p>\n He also pointed out that “filming and doing all that, it’s not for everybody,” to which his sister agreed. “And I choose my own happiness and peace [over] just filming for somebody who doesn’t do anything for me in my personal life,” he added.<\/p>\n At the time, his sister asked if he had ruled out filming entirely.<\/p>\n “No, of course. I mean, I love filming if it’s positive and if it’s natural and I’m feeling good about myself. Then, of course and I’m comfortable,” he said.<\/p>\n “I like being around my family, so that stuff is good to me,” he continued. “Obviously, I have nothing against it. The reason I don’t is because I’m a homebody and I just choose, like I\u00a0said, my peace and happiness.”<\/p>\n Though Rob took a step back from his family’s reality show in 2016, he went on to star on Rob & Chyna with ex Blac Chyna.
