{"id":472187,"date":"2025-12-26T05:44:14","date_gmt":"2025-12-26T05:44:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/472187\/"},"modified":"2025-12-26T05:44:14","modified_gmt":"2025-12-26T05:44:14","slug":"theyre-in-packers-clinch-playoff-berth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/472187\/","title":{"rendered":"They\u2019re in: Packers clinch playoff berth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GREEN BAY \u2013 Merry Christmas Packer Nation.<\/p>\n<p>The Packers clinched a playoff spot on Christmas Day thanks to Detroit&#8217;s loss at Minnesota.<\/p>\n<p>The Lions turned the ball over six times and fell to the Vikings, 23-10, at U.S. Bank Stadium, eliminating Detroit (8-8) from playoff contention and giving a postseason spot to Green Bay.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s the Packers&#8217; sixth playoff appearance in Head Coach Matt LaFleur&#8217;s seven seasons.<\/p>\n<p>The Packers (9-5-1) are guaranteed a wild-card berth at minimum and are still alive for the NFC North title.<\/p>\n<p>To win the division, Green Bay would have to win its last two games against Baltimore on Saturday night and Minnesota next week, while Chicago (11-4) would have to lose its last two against San Francisco and Detroit.<\/p>\n<p>If Green Bay is able to win the NFC North, it would earn either the No. 2 or 3 seed in the conference.<\/p>\n<p>If the Packers become a wild card, they could wind up seeded anywhere from No. 5 to No. 7, depending on other results.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"GREEN BAY \u2013 Merry Christmas Packer Nation.
