Construction would begin in January 2026 and slated to be completed by June 2027, according to a board memo.<\/p>\n<p><b>In case you missed it<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The board approved the purchase of a 13-acre property from <a href=\"https:\/\/meyerranchtx.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meyer Ranch<\/a>, a master-planned residential community led by Crown Community Development, for a new elementary school <a href=\"https:\/\/meetings.boardbook.org\/Public\/Agenda\/1083?meeting=675798\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in April<\/a>, according to previous reporting by Community Impact.<\/p>\n<p>The $3.5 million property was funded through the district\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/austin\/new-braunfels\/education\/2023\/01\/12\/comal-isd-focuses-on-future-growth-in-proposed-2023-bond\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2023 bond<\/a> Proposition A. The new elementary school project is part of the district\u2019s ongoing efforts to manage enrollment growth, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/meetings.boardbook.org\/Public\/Agenda\/1083?meeting=675821\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">board documents<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>An exact address for the future elementary school has not been confirmed by the district, but the Meyer Ranch development is located on S. Crane Mills Road near Hwy. 46.
