The New York Yankees<\/a> have yet to make a major splash move this offseason, and the team\u2019s captain is now pushing for one particular player to return.<\/p>\n

Per Jon Heyman of the New York Post<\/a>, Aaron Judge has become a major advocate for bringing fellow outfielder Cody Bellinger back to the Bronx. Bellinger spent the 2025 season with the Yankees after being traded there from the Chicago Cubs<\/a>, and was spectacular in his lone season in New York before becoming a free agent.<\/p>\n

Bellinger hit .272 with 29 home runs and 98 RBIs last season, and played elite defense across all three outfield positions, and even some first base action as well.<\/p>\n

Bellinger\u2019s versatility has made him a highly sought after target on the open market, and while he isn\u2019t quite the MVP-winning player he once was with the Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a>, Bellinger has proven that he is still one of the top players in Major League Baseball, and should command a large salary figure this offseason.<\/p>\n

The Yankees have had themselves a very quiet offseason up to this point, bringing back Trent Grisham, Ryan Yarborough, and Amed Rosario so far. This has drawn the ire of many Yankee fans who want to see the team be more aggressive. Bringing Bellinger back would be a step in the right direction for a team that still has title aspirations in the midst of Aaron Judge\u2019s prime.<\/p>\n
