{"id":473586,"date":"2025-12-26T21:21:12","date_gmt":"2025-12-26T21:21:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/473586\/"},"modified":"2025-12-26T21:21:12","modified_gmt":"2025-12-26T21:21:12","slug":"victim-identified-after-argument-with-girlfriend-over-cell-phone-leads-to-deadly-shooting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/473586\/","title":{"rendered":"Victim identified after argument with girlfriend over cell phone leads to deadly shooting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SAN ANTONIO &#8211; The man who was fatally shot during an argument with his girlfriend over a cell phone has been identified.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Bexar County Medical Examiner&#8217;s Office, the victim has been identified as 42-year-old Evaristo Reyes Gomez Jr, who died as a result of his injuries after the shooting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RELATED | <a href=\"https:\/\/news4sanantonio.com\/news\/local\/live-murder-arrest-press-briefing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Argument over car and cellphone leads to deadly shooting; girlfriend charged with murder<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On the morning of Dec. 24, Bexar County Deputies were called to the scene of a reported shooting in Far West Bexar County.<\/p>\n<p>When they arrived at the home on the 100 block of Mallow Drive, they discovered Gomez with a gunshot wound to the chest.
