Austin Reaves will miss at least 4 weeks after suffering a calf injury on Christmas Day vs. Houston.<\/p>\n

Lakers guard Austin Reaves will miss at least four weeks due to a strained gastrocnemius muscle in his left calf. The Lakers announced the extent of Reaves\u2019 injury on Friday; he will be re-evaluated late in January.<\/p>\n

Reaves, who is averaging career bests in points (26.6), rebounds (5.2) and assists (6.3) through 23 games, missed three games earlier this month<\/a> due to a strained left calf.<\/p>\n

He returned to the lineup from the bench and played 22 minutes in a 132-108 loss<\/a> to Phoenix on Tuesday. Reaves then started the Lakers\u2019 next game, a Christmas Day<\/a> collision against Houston<\/a>, but only played 15 minutes.<\/p>\n

Reaves has played at least 60 games in each of his four NBA seasons heading into this one. He played a career-best 82 games in 2024 and played 73 games \u2013 all starts \u2013 last season. The 27-year-old has started 22 of 23 games played, and he\u2019s shooting 50.7% so far. He\u2019s also taking a career-high 16.2 shots per game this season.<\/p>\n
