An man has been charged over the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old man in the Perth southern suburb of Aubin Grove on Christmas Eve.<\/p>\n
Police say the victim was found with stab wounds in a car park near Talisker Gate just after 10pm.<\/p>\n
He was taken to hospital but died a short time later.<\/p>\n
An 18-year-old man from Byford has been charged with murder.<\/p>\n
He appeared in court on Saturday where he was remanded in custody.<\/p>\n
He is next due to appear in early January.<\/p>\n
Police say two other men, known to the victim, are assisting with their inquiries.<\/p>\n

A resident, Brenton, who asked that his surname not be used, earlier told the ABC he had just gone to bed when he heard “weird” knocking and thudding sounds on the street.<\/p>\n
“I was probably just watching a bit of YouTube on my phone and I could see all the lights coming through and just weird noises, and I thought ‘what the bloody hell is going on?’,” he said.<\/p>\n
“I looked out the window and I just seen all the detectives, all the cars out the front, and found out someone lost their life.<\/p>\n
“It was pretty scary. Happened 30 metres away from the room where I’ve got my little eight-week-old baby.”<\/p>\n
Residents told the ABC the area was generally quiet and spotlights usually shone in the shopping centre car park, but they had been switched off on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n
“It’s [usually] a nice little pocket of heaven,” Brenton said.<\/p>\n
The homicide squad is investigating and asks anyone with information or mobile phone, dash-cam or CCTV footage to contact Crime Stoppers.<\/p>\n
