Soon afterward, an officer carried an infant from the home while another guided a small child outside. The children were then released to adults waiting nearby.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators said two to three suspects were believed to have tried to force their way in by smashing a window at the rear of the residence, though it was not immediately clear whether anyone entered the home. The suspects left the area before police arrived, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>Officers searched the surrounding neighborhood but did not locate any suspects.
