PHOENIX \u2014 A man was killed Friday night after he was hit by a vehicle in west Phoenix, according to authorities.<\/p>\n
The Phoenix Police Department said the deadly crash happened before 11 p.m. near 35th and Northern avenues.<\/p>\n

He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Phoenix Fire Department. The man’s name has not been released.<\/p>\n “Preliminary information indicates the adult male pedestrian was attempting to cross Northern Avenue in an unknown direction, not utilizing a crosswalk, when he was struck by the vehicle,” police said.<\/p>\n Investigators believe impairment was a factor in the crash. Police said the driver involved was processed for a DUI.<\/p>\n
