SAN ANTONIO \u2014 Bexar County Judge Michele Garcia has reportedly passed away, according to county officials who took to social media to share the sad news on Saturday. <\/p>\n
Judge Garcia served as Justice of the Peace for Bexar County Precinct 4. <\/p>\n
Texas Stonewall Democrats President Robert Vargas III shared the sad news in an official Facebook post. Judge Garcia was a part of the group, which is a LGBTQ caucus of the Texas Democratic Party. <\/p>\n
“My prayers are with her wife, her family, and all who loved and worked alongside her during this difficult time,” Vargas III wrote. <\/p>\n
Tax Commissioner Albert Uresti and District Attorney Joe Gonzalez also commented on the post. <\/p>\n
“Michelle was a wonderful person. We had a great mutual respect for each other,” Commissioner Uresti shared. <\/p>\n
“So saddened to hear about the passing of Judge Garcia, may she rest in peace,” DA Gonzalez wrote. <\/p>\n
Commissioner Tommy Calvert, Precinct 4, also took to Facebook to share his condolences. <\/p>\n
“I have asked that the Precinct 4 Office flag be flown at half staff for 9 days of mourning in honor of her service to the people of Bexar County. Please keep her wife, family, co-workers, and friends in your prayers,” Commissioner Calvert wrote. <\/p>\n
