Bill Maher<\/a> made a bold confession about Donald Trump<\/a>\u2018s best political move while also sending a blunt message to those whose \u201centire personality\u201d is hating the POTUS.<\/p>\n During an interview with The Free Press<\/a> published on YouTube on December 22, the Real Time With Bill Maher<\/a> host, 69, discussed Trump\u2019s achievements and missteps during a conversation with\u00a0interviewer Maya Sulkin.<\/p>\n The journalist asked how Maher thinks the U.S. political scene arrived at a juncture where \u201cconspiracy theories thrive online, where Trump is president, where the world is so politically divided.\u201d She wondered if people were \u201cfreaking out over nothing,\u201d or if it was truly a \u201cmoment in time that people should be concerned about.\u201d<\/p>\n To that, Maher replied, \u201cSome of both,\u201d before pointing out a plaque of Trump\u2019s 56 insults about Maher that the POTUS signed. \u201cI earned every one of those. So I think I have a lot of credentials, as understanding the situation we\u2019re in, unprecedented-wise, with him as president.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued, \u201cOn the other hand, I just really have no use for people whose whole personality is Donald Trump and how much they hate Trump\u2026 It\u2019s like, \u2018Oh, shut the f*** up.\u2019 You know what, first of all, it\u2019s all people whose lives he hasn\u2019t really affected at all. He has affected a lot of lives, some of them very badly.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n That\u2019s when Maher admitted that Trump, 79,\u00a0 has had \u201csome ideas that were not wrong.\u201d He clarified, \u201cI rarely back the method he chooses to carry them out. But identifying certain problems that were festering. Yeah, he\u2019s done some of that.\u201d<\/p>\n When asked what the best thing Trump has done, Maher replied, \u201cThe best thing he\u2019s done was the Middle East deal \u2014 bombing Iran, backing Israel, and not pretending like, \u2018Oh, well, everybody in the Middle East, they have equal arguments.’\u201d<\/p>\n However, Maher also admitted that he has more concern over the extreme right than the extreme left when it comes to politics.<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019re undemocratic. I don\u2019t know that they\u2019re at all committed to giving up power,\u201d the late-night host explained. \u201cThe right thinks the left has gone so insane. And I could tell you why they\u2019re not completely wrong about that. I could list 12 easily that are so anti-common sense \u2014 so counterintuitive, it seems like they just want to embrace the counterintuitive \u2014 that makes the right-wing say, \u2018Even if we have to forgo democracy, these people cannot take power.\u2019 That\u2019s a very scary place to be, when they\u2019re like, \u2018Democracy?
