Flags will fly at half-staff at the Precinct 4 office, honoring her dedicated service.<\/p>\n

SAN ANTONIO \u2014 Michele Garcia, the Bexar County Precinct 4 justice of the peace, has died amid a battle with cancer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Precinct 4 County Commissioner Tommy Calvert was among the local leaders who shared <\/a>news of Garcia’s passing online, adding the flag outside the precinct office will be flown at half-staff for the next nine days “in honor of her service to the people of Bexar County.”<\/p>\n

“Her battle with cancer came to an end,” County Clerk Lucy Adame-Clark shared <\/a>to her official Facebook page Saturday afternoon. “But her spirit will never be forgotten.”<\/p>\n

County Tax Assessor-Collector Albert Uresti shared\u00a0<\/a>that Garcia was a “hardworking” judge, and Kirby Mayor Janeshia Grider said\u00a0<\/a>she served “with dedication, integrity and compassion.”<\/p>\n
